On November 12th at 6:00 PM, on the occasion of BookCity, the Museo del Novecento presents “Valentina Berardinone. Silent Invasion,” a book-document edited by Bianca Trevisan and Nicola Pellegrini, with texts by Bianca Trevisan, Jennifer Malvezzi, and Lea Vergine.
The volume is dedicated to Valentina Berardinone (Naples, 1929 – Milan, 2024) and contains rich, previously unpublished photographic documentation with shots by Enrico Cattaneo, Paola Mattioli, and Ugo Mulas. It reconstructs the genesis of her production between 1967 and 1973, a period when the artist found her voice through plastic works and small-format films, political commitment, and psychoanalytic reflection.
The publication, released by Kunstverein Milano, is produced on the occasion of the exhibition “Valentina Berardinone. Silent Invasion,” currently running at the Fondazione Galleria Milano, and the inauguration of the Valentina Berardinone Archive.
