What do you see?

Event Type
Art mediation project
in collaboration with
WeWorld onlus - Spazio Donna Milano Corvetto
Date
05 Sep 2024

“What do you see?” is the first art mediation project in collaboration between Fondazione Galleria Milano and WeWorld Onlus – Spazio Donna Milano Corvetto.
The meeting is dedicated to a group of women and their children and includes a visit to the Foundation’s exhibition titled “Piazza senza nome” (Nameless Square). The exhibition is the result of a dialogue between artists Alexander and Sasha Brodsky, father and son, who work on creating the large installation at the center of the exhibition hall. From the outside, the work appears to be a simple parallelepiped of raw earth, but inside, visible through small holes, a hidden world of multiple meanings is concealed.
During the meeting, after a brief introduction by art historian Bianca Trevisan, a self-guided visit follows, sparking questions, thoughts, and reflections from the participants, who then share what resonates with them. A dialogue ensues, and several drawings are created, conceived as a tool for self-narration.
The works produced are exhibited on the walls of the Fondazione Galleria Milano, near the artists’ works.
