Fondazione Galleria Milano dedicates two days to the memory of friend and colleague Orio Vergani (1974-2024), exactly one year after his passing.
On Friday, March 21, at 6:30 PM, we invite everyone to an evening in his honor. There will be a poster, a fanzine, lots of music, and friends.
On Saturday, March 22, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, a transcendental meditation session will be held, guided by his teacher Gianfranco DiMola.

Punctuality is recommended. Given the nature of the initiative, no one will be admitted for the entire duration of the meditation.
Orio Vergani was an experimental gallerist. In 2001, he opened his Nowhere Gallery, initially an itinerant exhibition space between Milan, Paris, and Florence, and subsequently, from 2003, established in Milan, focusing on young Italian and international art. Orio understood art as a social practice, also thanks to his partnership with Alessandro Rolandi, showing interest in its relationship with ecology and ranging from painting to performance, from photography to installation, up to recent research on artificial intelligence and its implications. He worked as an editor for Skira (2003-2006), as a contemporary art critic for Il Giorno/QN and Uomini&Business. He taught modern and contemporary art history at Accademia Raffles and was a consultant for several startups on the link between art and new technologies.
Orio was always a punk soul. To listen to the playlist dedicated to him here:
